Mechanically Challenged with a 24V Cosworth

Having discovered that the key supplied with the car does not operate the boot I suspect that the lock may have been changed at some time, so is the only option to replace the lock and have two keys?

the lock is probably worn or the key itself... try a freshly cut key on if it won't work you'll have to rebuild the lock...
