Uknown green connector under the steering wheel

I have found that there's a green connector under my steering wheel (near the yellow airbag connector). There's nothing inserted into it.
Does anybody knows what it's needed for?
(Note: this is an RHD so the steering on the left)

In a parts car I have here,there is a big orange relay on the end of that socket with 'intermittent ww' printed on it,must be wiper interrupter in this case. This particular car is an electrical nightmare,therefore there is a possibility it shouldn't be there anyway !

Two more questions  : is it a daylight sensor right under the windshield bottom on the driver's side? And is there any rain sensor in Ghia complectation?

It is the sunlight sensor for the Air con. Item 10 here and there is no rain sensing on these cars.
