I've carried a ccouple of heavy item in the load area of my Scorpio estate and now find that the fiberboard floor panel quite bowed The earlier Granada Scorpio estate had steel covers on the spare wheel well and next-door storage compartment - just wondering if anyone has fitted these metal parts into a Scorpio & if so is it straightforward ? Reason I'm asking is I've found a fairly local Granada estate being broken up for parts and I wouldn't mind fitting the bits if possible.

hi there if what you're carrying does that to the floor panel, i'd say it was time to hire a van! you need to remember the age of the car and the cost of replacement shocks/welding chassis cracks. i'm not sure if the metal cover fits. size/shape wise i would think it's the same, but it might be welded in. hth
