Well it was a bit warm to day so I put the blower on cold  ( A/C off ) and could hear the fan speeding up and slowing down so I switched it off and it was still going . . . .   Huh

So is the HBC the same on all models
( a/c and non a/c) etc

As I think mine has packed up as I cant switch the fan off and I have code 57 I m not sure if they are all the same so a bit of help please

Thanks Gazza

HBC for climate control are different to manual air con Gazza.

The HBC from a MKIII granada with or without aircon are the same as the Scorpio with manual Aircon (so I'm led to believe)

The one you want is available from Sanderson Ford on Welford Rd but not cheap, £100
I'm sure someone on here will have one, they are more plentyfull as they are fitted to the Ultima

That's if you can find one.
All just about gone in Leicester now including the few yards at Braunstone and the ones off Abbey Ln.
Wigston breakers don't do much now either unless you need bits for (Ahem) a Vauxhall

A faulty HBC will normally cut the blower in & out, not speed it up & slow it down or stay on when switched off, that's my experience anyway  Wink.

It could be that the blower switch on the control panel is faulty, also have you tried a reset ?  Smiley

Hi johnnycab

Yea tried the reset and went 00 then back to 57 did a test on cc panel at the HBC end with white blue and brown blue It works fine i.e 0.5 volt on min and 4 volt on full speed . . . .

Now here is a funny bit yesterday when i did this the blower fan went faster when i took of the plug and this morning it was slow . . . .

Has this got any thing to do with the weather being quite hot ?
