semi-auto box

A quick question for the tec-heads out there, I have a BOA motor which I am planning to do a carb conversation on but I want to keep the auto box. Because the auto box is electrically controlled would it be possible to use the box with a push button change or flappy paddle change sort of set up (I'm sparky by trade so getting it to step the change solenoids wouldn't be a problem)

paddle shifting would require a lot more then just a few solenoids however you could change the manual auto lever to a push button one, you would need to connect the linkage to some kind of linear stepper motor

The idea was to have drive, neutral and reverse selectable as normal then push button/paddle to step through the change solenoids in the box as the controller normally would

So it sounds like I just need to sort out which solenoid combination does which gear and then sort the electrical switching
