Boot lock motor

My boot lock operates mechanically with key only, pressing the button does not work (either on the boot or remote) I also found a loose connector (inserted in image). The other doors won't unlock when I open the boot.

I assume the motor mechanism has been removed at some point, hence the loose connector and hollow space behind the lock cylinder. All locks in the car use the same key.

Can I restore "intended" operation just by getting hold of the lock motor and inserting it (offers to PM welcome), or do you see any other fundamental thing missing here? The car is a 24V saloon.

I would imagine you can just replace it.

Perhaps the same happened to yours as on mine.
It jammed open so I had to remove it until I got another motor as the boot wouldn’t shut.

Thanks,

Do you see anything else missing than the motor?

It's a while since I looked at it so can't really say, but I don't think that plug fits the motor - there may be a short loom to convert the plug.

that's the plug for the motor... it doesn't look like there's anything else missing.

Is the motor the same for saloon and wagon?

There’s a bit of loom on my 2.3 saloon.
