cam covers 24v

hi guys, will be putting cam covers back on my 24v engine soon. rubber gaskets were not fixed to covers when taken off. have read somewhere they should be glued on to cover or is that just for boa engine? if so, what type of sealant do i need? thanks darren

Hi mate,
they normally have some sort of glue on them, my local car show sell a high temp silicone sealant, about £4.50 for a tube, but to be honest i just use black bathroom sealant from B&Q
