Hi car passed MOT today but had the following advisory 1 n/s anti roll bar linkage has slight play in a pin/bush. 2 n/s o/s front shockers has alight misting of oil. 3 o/s front flexi brake hose has has slight deterioration. Now I do not understand advisory of front shockers but did not want to appear ignorant?, can you advise on this. Am I right in thinking that the anti roll bar has to be purchased as whole unit. As for the brake flexi hose I think I understand how to replace but since changing over to sky broadband I am unable to use the w/shop manual disc to get to various links , can someone provide me with the link if thats possible. All things considered I was pleased with this, result, as it gives me time to address advisories. Your advise would be much appreciated. Cheers Kenboy

And anti-rollbar linkages both front or rear are available separately.

And if you want polyurethane bushes to anti roll bar, Mondeo's bushes are compatible. For example SuperFlex SPF1544/20

Ken. Looks as if you have suffered one of those testers who is fond of the orange sheet The front struts are £60 plus VAT ex factor, but there is a more than fair chance that the 'oil mist' is not emanating from them.If your Scorp presented anything dangerous it would fail ! GOZZ.

advisory is just that, everything is likely to be ok until the next MoT, the tester is just covering his backside as VOSPA cretins are just unreal when testing the tester.

Hi thanks for the input just been down to the garage where the mot was done and he basicaly reiterated what you guys said and that the mot tester was covering his ? I remembered a couple of months ago I applied wd40 and a little grease to the base and top of the front struts this would account for the misting remark and I will get around to replacing the link bar in due course. any way once again many thanks.
