BOA motor has a few quick and reletively cheap modifications you can do - but anything more serious will cost you £££££'s as there arent many aftermarkets parts out there for them. Start with a decent exhaust and cone filter - but make sure you pipe cold air to it or its a total waste of time. Next up is to replace the standard scorp injectors with those from the 2.5 Vectra - better spray pattern and more efficient, hence give a few more BHP. There are ECU chips available too - usually give a nice torque boost (up to +20%) but not a lot in the BHP area. Thats about all you can do in the vein of bolt on stuff. You can use the 4 camshafts from the later BOB engine, which have a more aggressive profile than the early cams and will equate to fast road cams in a BOA - this step isnt to be considered lightly tho, as you'll be pulling about the timing chain area of the engine and you can quite easily open up a can of worms with worn chains and broken guides that are pretty much unavailable now from anywhere - if you can find a set of them, expect to pay in the region of £400 + for them !! All the above mods should see you with 220-230 BHP and a nice lump of torque on the stock motor After this, you're talking about moving to triple DCNF carbs, or looking at turbocharging (with all the uprated internals involved such as forged rods and pistons, etc) - BIG money.... but people have managed to take the BOA to 600 BHP +........ BOA is stronger than the normal cologne engine - but dont exceed 6400 rpm or you'll hear expensive and fatal noises

so 6000 is a good safe max rpm limit rather than 6500

Vectra injectors will only work in the BOA - the BOB use a completely different design so the vectra ones wont fit.
