Will it damage the electrics at all if I leave a battery trickle charger connected to the car. I use the same one on my motorbike with no problems but dont want to cause any problems with the car.

rich.
Can't see any reason why it should,I run seven Scorps on funerals and one or the other of them is usually on charge especially if one stands for any length of time, you know how they discharge if not used regularly.

No matter what anybody says it's a big NO NO in any car, especially Scorpio with so delicate electrics
I think it was even stated somewhere in the manual...

+ batteries can explode when charging or unplugging the charger so be vary careful and never ignore that, I've seen cars and people after such explosions... BE CAREFUL

Don' be so silly Mr Firebug,I know what I'm doing,I can't have been so lucky for thirty years even with ten years of Scorps. To avoid a gas explosion you connect the negative lead to the engine away from the battery, and switch off the charger before disconnection. There was a time when common sense and intelligence was the order of the day, however as everyone is now petrified of litigation, and few have common sense, all has gone base over apex.  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes
