Daunted by prospect and time involved  re cutting into cowling I tried following. Put curve onto end of aerosol tube using boiling water and small drill as radius ...liquid lithium grease can inverted,  then  via hbc opening .
you can get nozzle into kerbside space of motor and cage easily and "best guess" where bearing is. Other side harder have to get past commutator and aim at bearing.
Anyway it sorted the squeal so I must have got something near the bearings..thought might be of interest..time will tell if it was a good fix or not.
