My car came with just the red key and I want to get a remote fob. will it work with my car (24v 1997) and its just a case of programming it

Yes a Scopio fob will work with your car , also I would advise getting a key cut and programme it using the RED Key as that is the MASTER . the details of programming keys is on the main site. See HERE

Don't follow the hand book intructions as to programme a key or fob, it's not quite right. Use the instruction on the site...........

Yes is the simple answer . Use the method described on the main site and programme the two at the same time .
