Guys, if ECU module on my 96 24V ultima faulty, can I replace it with any EECV from other Fords? Or I need specially from 2.9 96 scorpio? And how it's happens, just put out old one, connect new one and there it is? Or after replacement some tunes of ECU will be needed?

the ecu would have to be a 2.9 24v one and there is a slight difference between pre and face lift cars, it should be ok but may have issues with the PATS, only way to know is try it
