Again Rear Brakes!

Hello to all I'm about to do a replacement of rear pads, I have the correct tool thanks to those that pointed me in the right direction! Naturally I shall wind the pistons back into the caliper, but when everything is back together, do I "take-up-the-slack" with the foot-brake, or the hand-brake, or is there a particular way to get the rear brakes back to even normal? Thanks. Peter.

make sure park brake levers are back to the stops on the calipers, lever has to be free & have full movement for sorrect opeation, wind piston in & then work park lever on caliper to see if piston 'ratchets' out, make sure 'pip' on brake pad lines up with slot in piston.

Thanks to both. Now I've just got to choose an evening that it's not raining and freezing-cold up here, to do the job! Peter.
