PCB. SATC Module

HI I am still pursuing this CC problem that has plagued me for some time, It was suggested that the SATC was most likely the problem my question is, Inside the SATC Module there is a Printed Circuit Board, now can the board be tested for its correct function, and if it turns out to be dry soldered joints that have cracked, can they be spotted and repaired (All new to me ).

Hi Ken, I can't help with the function of the SATC but when checking for dry joints on laptop motherboards I usually use a USB microscope to get a nice closeup of the joint to see what's really going on. Continuity testing with a probe can only check so much.

Repairing a cracked solder joint is relatively easy as long as the solder pads or traces (the copper on the circuit board) haven't lifted or burned with arcing damage.
