ABS-and-traction-light problem an MOT issue?

I have the ABS-and-traction-control-lights-coming-on problem. I'm not asking for the solution, because that has been dealt with in some depth elsewhere on this forum, for example here: http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.pl?board=Problems;action= display;num=1241354560;start=0 What I would like to know is whether this is something that will cause the car to fail an MOT or not. (I do intend to fix it, or get it fixed by a garage, it's just a matter of timing).

ABS light needs to come on then go off when ignition is turned on for the MOT test

It usually goes off for a bit, then comes back on after 100 yards or so. If it did that in the test then it sounds like it would pass.

If it comes on with the ignition and then does the self check and stays out ( stationary) then it will NOT fail the MOT they do NOT have to drive it for the test these days, so it should PASS.

I agree with highlander but failing that, it's the dreaded abs controller that needs repairing

I would clean the rear sensors first. It's the time of year with dirt, water etc. messing the rear sensors up.
