Hi guys, Thanks again for the help I got with the lights problem, who would have thought that plug would cause so much hassle. Anyway, next one - If I look in the engine bay, towards the left hand light, there is (should be) an earth attached to the front panel. It appears to have rusted off and I don't know what it's for. The only problem I have now is that my battery light stays on (all be it very dull). Again I can't remember if it was doing it when I had the lights problem as I didn't have the engine running. It doesn't appear to be resulting in draining the battery, but then again I haven't been on a long journey in it. I wondered if anyone knew whether this earth lead has anything to do with it. I have reconnected it the best I can (very fiddly) and it seems secure, but you never know. Cheers Craigo967

The light glowing dimly sounds like a faulty alternator diode
