Can anyone tell me where in the North East (Newcastle area) I can get  my Scorpio scanned? My local (North Shields) Ford dealership say my car is too old for their equipment and another one said they can but for about £120/140!

I'm prepared to travel!

You could buy an OBDII for £100. And scan it yourself...........

OBD II is all very well but it wont scan ALL systems, only those that Ford considered "emission related".  This means that you may not pick up certain faults.

Sadly the only way to access live data and all systems, i.e. ABS Transmission Airbags etc is one of the more expensive systems.

Is there no one in yr area who can scan it for you for a few beer tokens ??  I'd do it but I'm NW Scotland lol

Hi,

My local Ford Dealership in Plymouth offered me £65 to run a full scan on my car.

AMC Electrics in Plymouth had equip to scan and also reset issues and charged £40

So best bet try a local Ford Dealership even at 365 much better than you've been quoted.

Correct  equip and leads new probably near £800 especiaslly to read ABS codes

Or from Ebay 2nd hand scanners do appear and are normally £100+ but a great future investment. Hope we don't compete for same scanners

Hi Folks,
Thank you all for your suggestions. I guess Scorpio owners are a very rare breed in the this part of the UK, I know of only one other near at hand. I wonder how many there are remaining on the road.

All the best ,
Exaktaman.
