Finally had a little time to fit the HD springs to one of my Cossies. So on went the 18" Team Dynamics Alloys and the 245/40/18 Sport Contact 2 Conti's. Grip has improved especially in the wet (helps with the amount of rain we are having at the moment ) Photo is off my mobile but gives a quick view at how it looks now.

That looks pretty tasty. I do like the wheels.... now go and tint the rear lights cos I think the facelift cars in silevr looked good with dark rear lights.... (like mine was!!)

Looks good! Very impressed! How's the ride though? Do you need to wear a hard hat

Thanks to all, @ Baz, I have toyed with the idea of tinting the rear lights. How did you tint yours? Spray or film, if any? @ Mike, how are you mate? The ride quality is the same. No hard hat needed I will pop in and see you soon, i promise. @ToF, please put up some pics when you have the 5 spokes fitted. What tyre size are you thinking of using? The wheel arch clearance was a problem, especially on the rear. I tried numerous tyre sizes before fitting the HD springs and now all is well with the 245/40/18's. @Matt, just camera tricks i'm afraid. The lift is only minimal to allow for clearance. Another one of my Cossie's, i bought thanks to Mark (hope you are keeping well mate), has the windows tinted as you can see from the pics below. I am in the process of facelifting this black one. The electrics fusebox on it has thrown me a few curved balls though. If i have the silver Cossie tinted the same, along with the rear lights i think that should be enough "pimping" for now!

Be careful with the front window tints Adam, I had mine put on a prohibition notice by plod because they were 30% tinted on the front. had to take them off! Tinting on my rear lights was by spray, two coats and it did look good on the silver car!

The alloy wheels do look nice, but I'm a traditionalist and want the Ford 12 spoke alloy wheels on my Cosworth. How much is to get the windows tinted professionally as I've heard it is very difficult not to get a few wrinkles when fitting DIY? Are you allowed to tint the front windows at all, or is it illegal?

Thanks for the pics Baz. Is that the South of France? Yes will look into tinting the rear lights. You are right Baz about the law taking a dim view( play on words ) with front window tints. Mondeoman, i have no idea of cost for tinting. The Black Cossie i have already had them professional fitted. It is illegal to have them tinted beyond a certain %. I believe the law to be: Front windscreen must allow minimum 75% light in, Front side windows must allow minimum 70% light in. But, check with VOSA for clarification if you are thinking of DIY. Also, the percentage rating on the film is not the same as the reading you will get when its fitted to the glass. It depends on the thickness of the glass, the original tint of the glass and the quality of the film. Some modern cars front glass even measures 65-70% from new So really, no legal tint is allowed on the front at all. You could always drive with both your front windows down though

| The wheels that you can see on mine are 17" Ford Alloys and were an optional extra on the Scorpio and appeared in the Ford accessories brochure at the time As for tinting, be careful about any insurance implications if you get it done. If your car is in a bump and the insurance company get it inspected they will flag it as an illegal modification and void the insurance

Adam, Yes it is the South of France. We went down there a few times in the Scorpio and one year I took the camera and the laptop and documented the whole trip live on the forum with photos from various places!! bit of fun! Baz

Finally got around to fitting the 5 spokes. Tyre size 215 / 45 / 17 & happy to report no clearance issues. So what do you think

Hiya Simon. TBH the inside is pretty much like any other Ultima . Loads of lovely black leather & in immaculate condition . The only minor difference is a walnut faced 5000 head unit . Mileage is a little high @ 140,000, but backed up by a full main dealer service history. It hasnt always looked like this though. It's took me the best part of 8 months & a whole lot of time & money to get it where it is today. Cant wait for the show season to start . Im going to do a lot of showing off
