Hi 2.3 with climate control My question when turning the cc off should the clutch mechanism disengage and stop turning the reason I ask is, my one is in continuous motion I have had two clutches burn out and I want to prevent another if there is indeed a fault or is this by design. Cheers Kenboy

Ken. The compressor should stop pumping refrigerant when the cc is off,it should also cycle on and off when the cc is turned on.Do you have clearance in the clutch,or is the current connected perpetually, with the ignition off,can you easily turn the front of the clutch by hand if you can, pull the plug off the compressor and start the engine, the compressor should not turn,if when refitting the plug it turns again with cc off,you need to check the circuitry.
