Scorpio Mk 1 Rear Springs

Greetings to all Scorpio fans. I own a 1996 Saloon Scorpio,and i want to know if the rear springs from a mk 1 Scorpio or Granada,how it is called in the UK will fit my car. Thanks

No they won't fit, they are completely different. The shock absorbers are the same though for the saloon.

I ask this because i want to install a rubber buffer between the rear spring and the lower arm,in order to raise the car a little bit,because the potholes in Romania look like the roads have been bombarded. Anyway,these hard rubber buffers will fit under the rear springs of a mk1 Scorpio perfectly,so,i'm interested if they will fit under my springs too.

| OK, so if the spring diameter is the same you're fine. It makes a difference if it's the pre or post facelift. According to the Lesjofors online catalogue (http://automotive.lesjoforsab.com) the mk3 springs are until 1991 171mm and 92- 134mm. The Scorpio 95 springs are 141mm.
