Hi Folks. Not a problem for once. My original aerial is bent and will not straighten, (sounds familiar)! How do I replace this and with what?

I'm guessing if the arial is bent, that you have an earlier car (94, 95, 96) which had the roof mounted wire antenna. You can unscrew the antenna from the base and replace it with a similar one or you could take the whole thing off (Remove the interior light and the nut can be taken off inside the roof cavity) Yours could then be replaced either with an aftermarket roof mount antenna or one from a later Scorpio (ask in the parts wanted section, someone will have one) The later Scorpios had the rubber antenna which bends and doesn't break or kink! Here is the link to the removal/installation instructions on the main site http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/manual/radio/antenna.pdf

Thanks Baz. Would you believe the car is 97 with the rubber aerial. I have tried all sorts of things to straighten it but back it goes to a couple of inches to the right. Is it easy to remove this section and relace it with another? Cheers.

It simply twists off. The thread is on the base. If you can't get a Scorpio one the nearest is one from a Ka. Try the local scrappy. Just a thought. Is the base 'out of line' or just the aerial itself ?.
