I have in the past used a fuel hose similar in appearance to your first sample,you can get it from any motor factor,the pressure is low in that circuit,therefore the only consideration may be heat,though I have had no trouble. GOZZ.

Just be very careful when working on the pipes attached to the gearbox cooler.... they are only made of alloy and split and break quite easily. I found this out when one of mine snapped on a motorway near Paris a few years ago......
