If the wishbone front bushes are shot, then you can usually guarantee than the ball joints won't be far behind, so it could be a load of needless hassle trying to replace the front bushes. New Ford wishbones are pretty expensive, but Quinton Hazell now do a pattern wishbone. Not sure how much they are, but most pattern parts are usually about half the price of the original Ford parts The QH part numbers for the front wishbones are..... LH:- QSJ2101S.... RH:- QSJ2102S

| Does that include any of the bushes ? Seem to recall when you buy the Ford wishbones they come with one of the bushes already fitted but not sure if that is front or rear.

I think the rear bush + nuts etc. comes separately, and the front ones prefitted.

The plot thickens.....just been in my local motor factors & out of interest I asked him if he could find me a price for the wishbones. He looked them up in his bible (car shop parts catalogue) & they are listed as being produced by both QH & FAI. He made a couple of phone calls to suppliers & could not get a price !!.....reason being, apparently, although they are listed in both the QH & FAI catalogues, neither company actually produces them yet Why ?......because Ford haven't yet released the rights for anyone to produce a pattern part Has anyone ever managed to buy one of these pattern wishbones before ?....Or is it really just to make the parts catalogues look thicker ?

| Well, my local factor here in Finland shows them even in stock with an exact number for different cities where they have stores, for a cool price of 199€ per side inc. VAT. Most likely it's a Q&H, mine are still OK, so I didn't check in person (and I will rather consult the german site when they brake).

| For 199euros per side, I would imagine that they are genuine Ford ones, as that's quite pricey

| No, it's just Finland. It's like that mostly with repair parts, sometimes regular service parts too, but also with breaker yards. It is often much better to order from abroad and pay high postage, than to buy locally. For example, some breakers ask 300€ for a complete scorpio door.

Steve. I suppose they gave you a pair of track control arms for a Granada !! it is so difficult to convince parts people that the front suspension is completely different !! GOZZ.
