I bought the exhaust (not the cat or flexi) 18months ago from here:
http://www.leisureshack.co.uk/

At the time it was a good price for the main part but a bit dearer for the back box but I decided to get it all from the same place.

You may well find a better price, you can often get the back box cheaper on eBay

If you still have the original system the back box isn’t separate so if you want to just buy the centre section you’ll need to saw off the back section and fit a sleeve as the pipe will be the same size – not flared to fit over the new one.

There is a company on ebay called ETS and they are selling the centre section for 55.00 plus delivery with a two year warranty .

Hello all, thanks for the advice.
Pal of mine had a look at it this evening, reckons no leaks but loose baffles!

Go for it anyway, might be surprised at the difference it makes. I was!

Might look OK from the outside but that doesn't actually tell you a lot

I know this is probably in the wrong context, but I would be thinking about something more permanent than just a mild-steel exhaust.   I have just got a full Stainless Steel system for less than £400, I know that's a lot of money for an old car, but you'd never have to worry about the exhaust again, and a mild steel system costing £200 will be goosed in 2 years, I expect my car will last 4 years plus, so after that I've paid nothing.   I'm sure if anything did happen to the car you'd be able to sell the stainless steel system for about half price.  Just a thought.

Stainless steel should last forever unless it's damaged (?)
