Like most I suspect that the coolant used is the green/yellow type.  This is no longer used by Ford who have gone for pink or blue.  What suggestions for replacing current fill? full drain and refill with new Ford.

Red one I'd say at 50%, it's has longer life. But do rinse the old out, they don't mix.

I use, & have always used blue (50% mix)....it's good for 2-3 years & meets all the specs & temperature requirements....green is supposed to be okay as well  Smiley

As far as I know, red is not recommended for the Scorpio, as it can harm the cooling system  Smiley

As for yellow....never seen that before......Is it made from bananas ?  Grin

Johny the green i mentioned has a yellow shade in certain light, it probably is the same as you used though.  need to confirm which will be best though.  Gloucester Ford said they use a clear version now, on asking back in Wales no one has heard of it, nor has Ford!! Dont let Gloucester change you coolant.

I have the standard blue/green in, I had it changed while installing a block heater at a garage and didn't specify. AFAIK red is OK if there system is properly flushed (mixing creates sludge). But scorpio systems need the flushing anyway (darn matrix) regularly, so at the end of the day putting more expensive longlife stuff is probably a waste of money Smiley

Yellow i think is the "Ford original" 10 year longlife mixture mentioned on the cooling system pages.

Well it is a bit multi colured swap shop but from Ford they only have 1 coolant now and it is a PINK, providing sytem is flushed this will be fine for all engines.

Still using Comma XStream Green, good for 3 years before changing.
Agree with the regular flushing - hopefully keeps the matrix clear.
