If your talking about an oil and filter change, the filter, gasket, O rings, from ford will cost about £48. The oil is about £19 for 5 litres, Thats about £86 . If the garage does it for you  it's about 2 hours work. so thats ( what ever they charge an hour ) say £70 ph . Thats £226. Then theres the chance they wont know what car they are working on and totally knacker it up . ( do something they shouldn't do, like put the wrong grade oil in, or too much oil, or not enough oil. Forget to put the filter back in). Some of these garages don't know what a scorpio is... So to your question i would have a guess at about £300 for a oil and filter change.............
Which car have you got......

Yes,just messy ! best to leave it to drain with the pan off overnight, don't forget that there is always a lot of oil left in the valve block and torque convertor, the coolers should ideally be flushed out to remove any debris as well.

If you look back a page you will see a thread about changing the oil.

Yep, he also found a fault with the mount and fixed that all inclusive, and I know it was a good job as I hung around and watched and all that should have been done was done, dead happy.

I drill a 10mm hole in the lowest part of the oil pan (taking great care to only just about  go through the oil pan)  and leave it to drain overnight when possible  .

Then when the oil pan is off for the filter change i weld a nut around the hole i have drilled  then with a short bolt and copper washer i have a drain bung for next time .

A lot less mess Wink
