| Gozz I think you have hit the nail on the head, I know the sound you mean and that is what I get when driving, and it is not on full lock though just normal steering but only right side.

Well at last tyres sorted AND the groaning noise solved, it was f/l/h wheel bearing. The thing was it was not making bearing dying type noises. As for doing the bearing at home no way, it took 8ton pressure to pop it out, can just seem e trying that, still alls well that ends well.
