Fuel sender ohms

Hi all, Does anybody know whether the range 23 ohms (full) to 147 ohms (empty) is the correct for the petrol fuel senders? I measured this one on one not in my car, I need to determine whether the figures can be trusted.

That's what I'm getting on a brand new one (out of the tank, full travel of the arm) 23 - 148
