does any one have any problems getting the emissions through an mot who's running a 2.3 petrol, as i guess a lot of things aren't read by the new ecu that the original one would?

I have Megasquirt on my Pinto in my Westfield - I can get that down to 0.9% CO (without cat) and 52ppm HC so that easily gets through the MOT limits of 3.5% CO and 1200ppm HC - you should have no probs on a 2.3 with a cat fitted. As an aside, Megasquirt can take input from every sensor that the 2.3 has, inc the MAF and NB Lambda sensor (I'd prefer speed density though so wouldn't bother hooking up the MAF).

Hi I Come august this will be the 8th time of putting the car in for MOT, had a few advisories in this time but there has never been an issue with the emissions, the guys on the forum advise to take the car for a good spin, just prior to the MOT. Good Luck Kenboy

I have heard that emission are easiest to get to proper level when using MS2 v3 + EXTRAS (with extras you get HI-RES 16x16 fuel maps, that helps when adjusting idle and low rpms). Also injectors must not be hugely oversized. I have project using rs2000 cams, 370cc straight-fit injectors and megasquirt and sharing stock sensors. Doing just for learning, not big power expectations. Here is partial "pinout" of ECU: http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/23looms.htm
