BOB ecc-v without pats and auto box

Hi I've just joined this forum as I've stripped down a couple Scorpios as they have Loom burned out on them. Bits will be for sale soon. I'm building a Robin Hood and the BOB engine is going in that to replace the 2.8 12v Capri. I'm planning to use the original ECU its labelled “EXAM” ver eec-v. I need the pin outs for the ecu; all I can find on the web is pin outs for eec-IV. as I want to rebuild the loom and shorten it. My question is… please correct me if I’m wrong... How I see it the separate PATS module when I took it out the car; most of the wires went to the Aux fuse box and the decoder on the key barrel, and not the ecu, I think at last 1 wire went to the ecu. I’m guessing the pats just disables the Start inhibit relay?? And possibly the fuel pump? Would I be able to use the original ECU without the pats unit? P.S Dose anybody know what the orange unit is behind the glove box next to the pats module? Cheers ken.
