interior mirror removal

mine has broken need to change but concerned about removing in case crack the glass
what is the trick in removing it please..tried pulling towards but not budging

D O N T pull it towards you !!!.   The way to remove it is to grasp the mirror in both hands and pull sharply downwards keeping in line with the slope of the screen. It is only held by a spring clip.

ok thanks for that ...I have been pulling and sensed something was wrong ..but I was following an article
http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/pcmirror.htm which says "the mirror is removed by easing it FORWARDS" maybe thats a tad confusing at least to me !
anyway thanks a lot....... pull it downwards is what I will do
a cracked screen is not funny so it needs be crystal clear
