They look nice and shiny  Grin if they cost more than the proper ones, which can last the life of the car, then they are a waste of money !

braided hoses give a better feeling on the brake pedal as the hoses dont expand like just plain rubber ones do,

as to whether they are worth the extra expense for i dont think they are unless you run your scorpio on track days

Yes I think the basic idea is as Matt says, that's what the braid does prevents hose swelling, plus stainless steel so don't rust. OTOH 'normal ones' are internally reinforced anyway I think.

Great for large motorcycles, all of my Bikes have Goodridge lines.    The ONLY car I've ever seen with them fitted for road use was a 'Wartburg'  I think it was designated, '353W Mk4'.   Had a 1000cc two-stroke-triple engine!   Didn't stop the mate that owned it flipping it over whilst going down a hill with an overloaded trailer!

yes. my 955 tiger has them, and my T160 Trident is having HEL fitted this Winter, I'm going over the Brakes on my Cosworth 25k miler, in that I know it's not done more than 500miles per year for each of the last 10 years!
So, seeing as I'll be changing the hoses anyway.....It's a no brainer..as you say..on Motorcycles, but doesn't seem as popular on cars. My Trident has "Mahogany" brakes feel-wise, so a full change over this Winter.
Thanks for the input

I would be very worried if my brake hoses expanded at all, indeed I would expect them to burst at any time, they are heavily textile braided to prevent expansion.

Quite so. Grin

I've got SS on my Guzzi but far as I know just makes the lever / pedal feel "harder". Which is reassuring I suppose.

My Sierra was bought as an 'unfinished project' and came complete with a full set of stainless steel braided fuel and brake lines - some of the fittings cost a whopping £30+ each  Shocked

The guy I bought it from gave me the receipt for all the bits - originally cost him over £700 for the lot  Shocked Shocked Shocked

Flippin' 'eck ~

as it's servo assisted anyway not sure what difference it will really make TBH, like Gozz says either the hoses are good, or they're not
