i am sure I have seen on here that a 2.3 rad can be substituted for the orginal rad in a cossie along with the header tank.

If so can it be removed with minimal jacking up of the donor car? reason is this is a scrap and is sat on it brake discs, I am miles from were my full tool kit and ramps are.  To replace i will take cossie there so it can be done proerly, but as cossie rads are rarer than the orginal set of hens teeth i must grab this.

Its quite tight removing them with the tyres still on the car so you'd need to be jacking it up around a foot I'd reckon to get it out.

Yeh guessed that so it will be easier to turn it on its side, it is one of the old type scrappy were you take the parts, but thta does mean a good price, £20 for rad and header tank.  But is it feasabile Highlander as I said i am sure i saw it on here.

Yep, I've run a 24v on a 16v rad and header tank for over 40,000 miles now, BIG saving on the Ford 24v rad and no more ballooning problems Smiley

Is the 2.3 scrapper an auto? you need an auto rad for the 24v's autobox cooling pipes  Wink

Your profile says North Wales, whereabouts?

I'm taking a 2.3 auto to bits at the moment, you can have the rad and header tank.

I travel to Chester regularly, might can drop them in Wink
