i got my lines mixed up when ordering the megasquirt for a 2.3 manual, i guessed it used edis like the auto, i have now found out that it doesn't. do people think it will be easier/cheaper/quicker to get an edis system or just send back the megasquirt box and have it changed so that the spark is done by the ecu, ( i'm waiting to hear back from the guy about cost and time). time is one of the most important things as i'd like to crack on with it whilst there is still daylight after work and its above freezing, thanks

Get the ecu redone to use direct coil/trigger wheel decoding - more control over rev limit type and easier to set up.

i use an MS v3 ecu on my Westfield with a Pinto engine on GSXR bike throttle bodies - direct coil control with custom mounted trigger wheel.  let me know if you need any help with the ecu setup.

Personaly I would use EDIS, check out Triggerwheels site. EDIS will give a 'limp home' setting and will give better control over your ignition, even with a weak signal.
