If I find a suitable replacement Scorpio in UK I will need the Ford Certificate of Conformity to register it here in France.

Has anyone any guidance or has one already?

AFAIK a CoC is "personalized" with the VIN. The CoC just contains all possible info about the car of interest to registration offices. These are sometimes required if the foreign registration lacks some information which is needed in the importing country. You will get these from the main dealer (should not matter which country), but be prepared they can cost. A friend paid 120€ to get a CoC for a Renault from the main dealer in Finland, the car had Dutch reg. Do you have an organization similar to the german TÜV in France? It might also be that the German TÜV can help you, they charge 60-70 euros or so.

Your local import procedures may change, but all cars made after 1998 should have EU-wide approval, this "should"* mean all vehicle registration authorities should have all data about the car and the CoC.

*local offices still like to bully

I did not need a CoC for my Scorpio to Finland because all details needed for cars pre 1996 were stated in the German registration.

I assume you checked this all out already, but there can be restrictions and modification work needed as you import a RHD car to a LHD country.

Hi yulzari,
Yes highlander is right i am in France.
To get a certificate of conformity, you cannot transfer from any other person ie me, as it has all the vin numbers etc on it.
If you write to
FMC Automobiles S.A.S
34
Rue de la Croix de Fer
78122
Saint -Germain-en-Laye
Cedex.
Tell them to send you the forms to fill in.
It is not cheap
Cost me 119 euros 5 years ago.
Any probs give me an pm.
cheers Bob
