Heater blows cold when cranked up to full power

Hi there, my climate control occassionally blows cold when the temperature is set to HI and turned up to full power. As I have the engine out at the moment, I thought I would investigate as I have the space to have a proper look around. Any suggestions as to what might be the cause of this? Thanks.

Climate control needs re-setting or the heater matrix is blocked. If it's the heater matrix then it's only accessible from inside the vehicle (dash out job), although, with the engine removed, at least it will be easy to remove the matrix in/out hoses  Smiley
