Bonnet Gas Struts-Warning!

The cold weather seems to affect the bonnet gas support struts which results in the bonnet slamming shut without warning. Best to use additional support such as a broom to avoid injury. Its heavy man cheers no-fingers Fred

| Never heard of this one before, is one of them maybe failing Fred? One strut on its own is not enough to hold it.

That's right Stuart,but they are not as 'volatile' in sub zero temps,the hearse tailgates have a similar problem. Just unclip em Fred and push them in on the ground,you'll soon see which one is the weakest. GOZZ.

That is exactly what Freddie was suggesting at yesterdays meet. He felt it was the very low temp that affected the 'operation' of the struts. They were certainly perfectly OK whilst Dave was changing the ABS module at yesterdays meet.
