2.3 thermostat

Today, I managed to finally find a pattern part thermostat that actually fits the 2.3 Scorp (2.0 16v as well). Exactly the same diameter & same temp rating as the Ford one (hopefully longer lasting as well) for more than half the price of the Ford one It's a QH...part number QTH136K, & costs around 8 quid, depending on motor factor The only real difference is that it doesn't have an air bleed hole....nothing a 2.5mm drill bit can't fix

have you tested it really opens at 88c ? I bought cheap termostat and it opened below 80c altough it was rated 88c... And that was not first time.. pattern parts arent always worth the cheaper price.
