Further to my posts else were about wiper linkage Iam fitting the new set tommorow, just looking at the car the intake plastic grill at bottom of windscreen has som round cover along it, do these cover screws? have not played with them yet.

Yes there are some covered screws and some plastic rivets, take a look here, different subject but shows what you want to know (scroll down to fitting the AC mod): http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/acmod.htm The plastic rivets mentioned have a pin that you can push through and then pull the rivet out – 2 of them you can catch the pin in your hand & re-use them the other 2 the pins get lost behind the panel. I assume you got more than just the arms if you’re taking the grille off. If you have to take the grille off I would recommend taking the whole assembly out and cleaning the insulating grommets, spacers and bodywork. Getting rid of the accumulated muck around the mountings made my wipers quieter.

If your car has had a windscreen replacement the ends of the grille will perhaps have pop rivets in, courtesy of the glass man and may well be broken.When mine are having a replacement I remove the wiper arms,mirror and grille and hide them so that I can refit them properly later. GOZZ.

Gozz & Tompion thanks for the replies. yes my bargain buy was the whole thing including the mountig bar? and motor plate in face motor was the only bit not included. Yes windscreen man has been but did nto pop rivet I had those plastic ones from FMD so not problems there. Nice sunny day so will crack on.
