Front prone to bad connection, sometimes the connection will blow a fuse, cannot remember if rear on separate, check fuse 43 and or heated seats still working if you have them. If they are working and no cigar lighter then you have a bad connection. Good luck

Fixed and what a strange solution it was. Just happended to look into the bore of the lighter and nitched 2 small pieces of plastic lying on the bottom. On closer investigation found them to be bits of the plastic spring clip that holds the unit in. removed them and voila it worked so plastic must have stopped the element reaching all the way down and making contact.
