Wiring looms 2-3 and 2-9

I should prabably say, differences in looms between 2-9 24v and a 2-3 base model! i am scrapping the 24v and wondering what wiring would i would find i require to use the heated seats, in the base 2-3 model, might the 2-3 have the wiring in place? cheers

Hi mate Its highly unlikley that the wiring will be there, and its not easy to swal the looms, they run behind the dash and its a dash out job to get to them

I would have thought the wiring would be there - look for spare plugs under the seat or elsewhere - maybe you would just need to add the sub-loom, possibly also relays and switches ? I fitted electric windows & central locking in a poverty-spec Sierra many years ago - it was just a case of finding the connectors on the main loom and adding the sub-looms, switches & relays.

Thanks guys, the 2-3 does not have the puddle lights either, i will delve deeper tomorow, i may be lucky, power seats too!

The heated seat wiring loom is a small loom that starts off under the passenger seat and runs over the tunnel to the other seat. It also derives its power from the cigar lighter socket via a small yellow relay inside the centre consul. I fitted heated leather seats to my 12v when I had that and all I had to fit was that loom. all the other MAIN wiring loom is usually there.
