Pretty sure 4-cyl & 6-cyl instrument clusters are different.

As Matt said above, although I have fitted a 12V V6 one in my 24V, (pre 1998 ), and it worked fine.

The Mileage reading was that of the 12V car, which proves the mileage is stored in the cluster and not the EECV as has been wrongly suggested before in other threads Wink

I would assume 4 cylinder ones work in 4 cylinder cars, it is possible that you can interchange 4 and 6 cylinder, because the rev counters work from the edis on one coil only, i.e. like a 2 cylinder.

My 4 cylinder Puma dash should read ok with the 24V V6 installed for this reason, try it and see  Wink

Obviously WDS programmed dash's cannot be swapped for non programmed and I expect the diesels will have a diffeent rev counter set up ??

TNT.
You can check the dash spec by using the readouts operated via the trip button, switch the ignition on,hold the button in until you get a row of 8s,the next brief press will read  'type' with a spec number, that's the dash type.
The 'low' series dont have a trip computer screen.
