Heater Temperature output ?

When giving a lift to one of my 'brood' yesterday he commented on the output of the heat from the heater and remarked 'you could do toast on that', so today I checked the output with a temperature probe just in case it was not as it should be and water temp is getting to hot.

Results....
After a 10mile run....Non climate control unit.
Temp gauge in centre position.
Heat control on max
Blower on max
Probe in centre vent.
68.8c
When turning down the temp the reading dropped accordingly.

Same as above with aircon on
max temp = 55c

Set at cold with aircon on
Min temp = 1.9c

Do the above temps sound about right ?

that sounds about right Rod, your thermostat will have a higher rating then that, the hose come straight off the back of the head.
