Finis numbers for lock repair kits

Having just rang the local dealers parts department and asked for prices on lock repair kits for the Scorpio I was told: "The only thing I can get you is a full lock set as it's the only part listed" I offered to get him the Finis numbers so that he could double check this as no way I want to replace the whole set of locks etc when a repair kit is fine Having searched this site and read the rebuilding lock guides I think the Finis numbers for the lock kits are as follows: Drivers Door Lock 1 046 299 Passenger Door Lock 1 046 300 Ignition Barrel 1 022 184 but I cannot find the one for the boot lock (this is a saloon car) Can anyone help with the relevant Finis number for this kit? Given how rare our cars are now and that the average parts person probably has never seen a Scorpio I imagine this is an increasingly likely scenario at dealerships! Is it possible to obtain a full list of Finis numbers, preferrably with drawings like on the old microfiche systems of old? David

If you want the Microcat system then it IS available from various sources but I do not think it wil run on Windows 7. You need a computer running XP or earlier.

How did you get Microcat ? Just so happens I have a whole bunch of Ford lock kits which came to me with a bundle of other stuff and I'd really like to know what they all fit !

I could be wrong but I'm under the impression they're basicaslly the same internally? In terms of the key wafers are the same? So you might rebuild original boot lock just using new wafers from a new lock? Possibly... Incidentally I think the 'new' wafers may not be as well made as the 'old' ones, bought a new door lock kit a while ago, built it up, my good keys still won't work in it A new key (but no PATS) I got with a new ign lock a few years previously WILL work in it. It seems the new wafers are 'sloppily made', the cut-outs being just a half millimetre or so 'vague'. My original good keys & the new no-PATS key DO all work in the ign lock though. Go figure....
