Nearside mirror

Happy Easter everyone Is there any way to get at the "gubbins" that moves the nearside dipping mirror. Mine works OK on selecting reverse but sounds like a creaking gate and the movement is lumpy. If there is no way to get behind the glass is it easy to change the whole mirror? Tony

Just lever the glass off the backing,it is a push fit,just clicks on and off via little claws.I use one of those plastic glue spreaders to avoid chipping the glass.
