I've done it a couple of times.   Unless you get all the fluid out of the converter which is unlikely, I've never used more than about Six litres.   Make sure you get the right stuff, although I think (aye only think) that Dave said that it's not really that important!   (Maybe I shouldn't have said that)

Anyway, also make sure you put the filter in with the 'O'- Rings in place, (Ford can still get new ones) and make sure the single bolt is actually tightened down onto the filter, you may need washers to build it up, I think I needed four washers.   Once you've bolted the sump back into place, (I've never used a torque wrench yet) give it a few days then check the bolts are still nipped-up.   Use a thin film of LM or such like grease on the cork gasket.

If you have the time or can wait, may I suggest you get some 'Lubeguard' and pour it down the tube as well, it will help the valves.

Now I got the stuff sent over from the States for about a third of the price, and I wasn't charged any taxes, b****red if I can remember where from though.   But that stuff above is the right stuff, there is other types but that is specifically for the Scorpio 'box.   That's a 10 fluid once bottle, and it's meant to be mixed, 1 ounce per litre, read the instructions, it's very easy, I would put the oil in first until it's got about a pint to go, then put this 'Lubeguard' in whilst the engine is running, then top-up to the right level with transmission oil.
