Springs For Boot

Hi all
Our Scorpio has a spoiler on the back that we was going to remove, but changed our mind when we realised that it might look a bit of a mess with the holes it would leave and filling them so its staying unless we can one day find a facelift boot for a saloon for a cheap as chips  Wink. The problem we have now is when we go to shut the boot it really slams because of the extra weight. I have already nearly cut my flipping arm off!!  Grin How would we go about hooking the springs onto a more suitable hinge Huh
Thanks All

Daniel, have a look where the springs attach at the opening end, there should be an extra hole or two where the spring hooks in, get your self a decent piece of rope and tie it to the spring hook and pull the spring in to the next available hole, you may need two people to do this unless your built like a brick s***house as those springs are very strong.
I done this when I had a MKIII Granada with a spoiler on and it worked.

We're assuming the spring hooks haven't been pulled up to the last hole already Grin
