I have a Scorpio Ultima fitted with 225/50 ZR16 92W tyres. I would like to use a cheaper alternative size; 205/55 R16 instead. Is this permissible? Tug

If you look here: http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/alloyoptions.htm You'll see the fitments for most of the Scorpio alloys. There's also a link to a spreedsheet for calculating the effect on the speedo. Ensure you get the correct speed rating.
