hi there

with the 1st hint of the change of season towards autumn/winter, is a good idea to do a few checks on the heating system and sunroof.

from a cold engine start up, have the temp setting to maximum. this will let the coolant flow at maximum rate around the system. leave it like this for a long as possible, until it becomes too uncomfortable. repeat this for a few days/starts.

re the sunroof, see the website guide..... http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/sunroof.htm

I thought it flowed at maximum rate all the time and the heating system blended cold air with the hot to get the temperature.  Another thing I got wrong  Angry.  Will try that.

hi guys

yep, you are right about the matrix flowing continually.

what was in my head at the time never seemed to reach my fingers in the same manner! Embarassed

what I'm on about really is the output temperature of the matrix.

when high (hot) output isn't required during the warner months, it's easy not to notice that the matrix is blocked slightly.

better to find out now, than when it's really needed.

sorry for the confusion i caused.
